About Us

During the last few years we’ve had over thousands of visitors to the Vintage Fair, and raised lots of money for many good causes. Just like previous years here are some examples:

Proceeds are mainly to Driffield 873 Squadron RAF Cadets Welfare Fund and other local squadrons including Beverley, Hornsea and Bridlington

We believe that no young person should ever have to miss out on social, educational, sporting, Duke of Edinburgh Awards Scheme, Camps, and Air Training activities,  due to additional needs or financial hardship. We also need to purchase and replace much needed outdoor equipment and activity project materials.

We also donate to other participating local and UK charities including…..

Driffield Rotary Club
(Helping those in need within the community)

The RSPCA (East Yorkshire Branch)

East Riding Greyhound Trust

SSAFA – Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association
Helping serving, ex-service men, women & veterans with on going needs.

The Sunrise Centre

Run by GETS uk reg charity no. 1110998 (Gambia Education and Teaching Support) – This is the current partner charity of the Driffield Cadets.  The Sunrise Centre, in a deprived area in The Gambia, West Africa, assists children and provides skills training to young people who were not able to attend school as children due to poverty etc.  Some of the proceeds from last years fair  helped the squadron to provide equipment, books, and dinner monies, and a project to build a sports floor area for volleyball, 5 a side and netball.  As part of their Duke of Edinburgh Awards  in fundraising and community service. Our Air Cadets hope to participate in an overseas trip in the future  to visit the Sunrise Centre.

We aim to provide an affordable and fun family day out for local people in East Yorkshire and visitors from other parts of the county,  raise the profile of the Royal Air Force Cadets,  whilst providing a forum for local crafters and producers, vintage exhibitors and enthusiasts, local dance groups, community groups etc to promote themselves at the event. The RSPCA also stage a Fun Dog Show in their arena – why not bring your four legged friend to enter!

We are delighted that this year our bid for participation by the RAF Events Display Team has once again been successful for our 2017 Air Display.

Of course a highlight of this year’s fair will be the amazing WW2 Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF),the Hawker Hurricane and the beloved Supermarine Spitfire.  It’s going to be a truly memorable day!!
*  Please note that changes to Air Display participation due to weather conditions, new legislation, public safety issues etc are beyond the control of the organisers of Driffield Vintage Fair, who will do everything possible to notify visitors should such changes occur.   Please visit our website and Facebook page regularly for latest news and information.”
