WHAT’S ON for 2017!
We are yet again adding to our numerous attractions, particularly on the ground, together with a reduction on last year’s entrance fee, giving our visitors even better value for money and an affordable family day out. In response to public feedback and demand, we are also focusing more on the Vintage theme and will be prioritize bookings from traders who are willing to reflect the retro and vintage theme in their attractions and food stalls.
New for 2017 will be more musical entertainment, a Live stage with wartime performers, singers, jivers, 50s/60s tribute band, and an amazing full scale replica exhibit of the iconic Spitfire Mark 9 on the ground.
We have also been successful once again in our bid for RAF Display team support in the skies and have been allocated the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Aircraft with a Supermarine Spitfire Mark II and Hawker Hurricane appearance!
There will also be more food variety and caterers available, and lots of new fun and games in the RAF Cadet Activity Arena
………….plus all our regular favourites
The RSPCA is running a fun dog show including a fancy dress class for the dogs & their owners! Entry’s for all classes are taken on the day.
As usual we are privileged to welcome back our dedicated exhibitors of vintage tractors, commercial vehicles and classic cars, some of the (last few surviving) local Land Army girls and veterans, the ever popular Anderson Air raid shelter, as well as some of the musicians who come along voluntarily and provide free entertainment for our visitors adding that “feel good factor” to the event and its continued success.
